Bart Hodgson
PASTOR ELDER
Bart and Kristen Hodgson have been in ministry for over thirty years. It all began when they met at the University of Arkansas. But their ministry journey has taken them to Louisiana, Colorado, Texas, Missouri, Oregon and Washington. Bart has served in various pastor roles: youth, worship, lead, executive, and now church planter. Bart attended Denver Seminary where he received his MA in Counseling and his MDIV. Most recently, Bart co-planted Covenant Baptist Church in Springdale.
Kristen's main love was raising their three children. But around those years, she worked as an elementary teacher, a photographer, and in development for non-profits. Their children are Hannah, Carmen and Isaac. They now have three grandchildren, Beau, Emmett and Margaret.
Bart loves fellowship, good coffee, hates pineapple on pizza, and is the fixer of all things. Kristen loves connecting with others, learning animal husbandry, and most of all, playing with her grandchildren. Together they are raising sheep, rabbits, chickens and bees at Hodgson Hill Farm.
Bill Downing
DEACON
Bill and Stacie Downing are founding members. Previously Bill served as a Deacon at Covenant Baptist Church and has used his gifts and skills to help plant Grace Covenant. His technical expertise ensures that our Sunday morning services run smoothly, while his administrative abilities help keep the church organized and our members serving together effectively according to their unique gifts. Beyond these responsibilities, Bill also enjoys fostering fellowship within the church family, regularly organizing golf outings with members of Covenant Baptist Church.
Joe Price
DEACON
Joe and Tessa were our first members to join after we launched Grace Covenant. Joe serves in our services and even leads worship occasionally.
David Shrift
DEACON
David is the newest addition to our church leadership team. He brings an infectious laugh, a genuine love for the church, and a deep knowledge of theology and church history. And, like Bart, he's always ready with a well-timed Nacho Libre quote.
